The first part of this double program of the Festival d'été de Quebec was assured by the Organ Jazz Trio Bina & Ehud, that has introduced to us a Speed Bossa, completely psicotronic and groovy where the mythic organ Hammond B3 is profusely used. Without innovating too much, the members of the band were successful in communicating their passion for retro pop music to an audience that has never ceased to ask for more. Timeless hits such as Marcos Valle's "Batucada Surgiu" are mixed with original compositions. The album Samba de Gringo should absolutely be purchased, specially if you are into compilations such as Samba Soul 70 and also into classics by Marcos Valle, Walter Wanderley and Airto Moreira.
