Okay, so I’ve been slacking, and it’s time to get back to doing this…
Curumin is a Brazilian artist signed to Quannum Records. His music is probably best described as funk, dance-influencedd rock. Although most of his set is in Portuguese, I definitely had a blast seeing Curumin in a setting such as The Echo which is a smaller, more intimate venue. He’s been doing a small run of dates here in the states to promote his independent release, Japan Pop Show. Be sure to check it out if you get a chance!
Follow up:
Curumin actually opened up for long-time Beastie Boys collaborator (and Brushfire Records signing), Money Mark, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay for the entire show.
Curumin’s live show was really great, and it was a breath of fresh air to attend something so different than anything I had been to in quite some time!
